Intro to Flight classes 10 and 11 marked the half-way point in their eight-week course with a special joint session with USAF Lt. Col. (RET) George "Zip" Andre - a legendary pilot who flew military jets, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird and Reno racers among many other aircraft types. Col. Andre gave an overview of his career in aviation along with some practical advice for those now entering the industry. The students also participated in a pre-flight inspection of Jill Rempala's Cessna 150 and one raffle winner received an opportunity to ride along as she taxied the aircraft back to her hangar.
